Generations United's Seniors4Kids raises the voices of adults age 50 and older in support of policies affecting children and youth.

Legislative Session Update
This session, Governor Beshear requested a $15 million appropriation for preschool in his budget proposal. The House cut that figure in half and funded other education programs with what remained. The Senate struck all the money. During the budget conference process, the legislature did not include funds for preschool expansion.

In spite of the outcome, Kentucky Seniors4Kids expresses our gratitude to Governor Beshear for bringing expanded preschool services to the attention of the General Assembly. Thanks in part to your efforts as a Captain4Kids, members of the General Assembly received over 7,000 emails about quality early care and education!
